The two main kinds of roof tile used in the UK are plain tiles and interlocking tiles. Plain tiles have been used for hundreds of years with the earliest examples being hand-made. Interlocking tiles overlap and interlock at their sides and so can be laid single lap.We supply and install both of these types of tiles.

Slate is one of the longest-lasting roof materials, sometimes lasting more than 100 years. Slate is strong and has very good weather resistance as well as low water absorption, meaning that it withstands freezing temperatures well. We supply and install all types of slates to suit your property.

Lead can be used to create abutment flashings, chimney flashings, internal and external corners, damp proof courses (DPCs – both flat and stepped), welted hips, valley gutters, as well as cheek- and top-coverings for dormer windows. We supply and install all codes of lead to different abutments. 

A flat roof is a roof that is completely, or almost level.  However, whilst they are described as ‘flat’ almost all flat roofs are actually laid to a fall to ensure that rainwater can run off to the lower side. We use a three layer felt system which is the traditional installation and lasts up to 30 years. We can also install lead on the smaller flat roofs.

We Supply and fit all types of soffit, fascia and guttering. These all come in different shapes and sizes.Most commonly people don’t know which is which, the soffit is the board inline with your upstairs windows, the fascia is the wood that the guttering is fixed to and the guttering is where the water collects and drained down to the soak-away.

Moss needs to be removed from your roof for many reasons. Moss needs to be removed as it blocks your guttering and also the soakaway. In many cases when the soakaway blocks, water spills out the top of the outlet, and makes inside walls damp. Unlike other companies who use jet washers, we use a small trowel and hand brush doing it in the old fashioned way.

Velux roof windows are inexpensive and bring lots of natural light into your home. We install these either in your loft, kitchen and extensions. Velux also provide windows for all flat roofs, which we can install. Velux offer many different sizes and finishes (internally) therefore there will always be a window that suits your needs.

It’s important to maintain your roof and repair it when needed. Avoiding potential further damage and expensive repairs. Small repairs that we cover include: replacing slipped or broken tiles, clearing guttering, repointing verges, repointing ridges etc. We also cover all chimney work.
